News announcement on Portal upgrades

The CARMEN portal (https://hildr.wrg.york.ac.uk/carmenportal/CARMENPortal.html#search) has been the focus of major updates in recent weeks.

The most significant of these is the release of a large range (15-20) of new services for neuro-physiology data analysis. The services have been created from analysis software provided by many of the working groups. There are also exemplars available for many of these services that detail how they can be invoked within the portal and how data input is managed via the portal. In addition, there is now a short PDF document that provides a simple introduction to the Portal for new users. The PDF document can be found on the welcome page of this CARMEN web site.

Other functional changes include:

New Welcome screen that describes what the Carmen system can do.

Set of exemplars added to demonstrate the system.

User can now pick a display name that can be more meaningful than their user name.

Registration is now automatic with users getting email + link.

Updates and fixes to make interface elements more consistent.

Bug fix in uploader to properly close files.

Updates to help text.

New support email address support@carmen.org.uk.

Shrunk font size to neaten things up.
